How to manage the client emails?
Option one: you can print to paper every email communication to and from a client. However, to an already intensive document and data environment, you will be adding tons of paper to the file on an ad hoc basis. As you may recall, the best practice is to maintain client records for a period of six to ten years. If you opt for the paper choice, please consider planting a few trees.
Option two, which is consistent with required and effective law office management practices, is to have a records management system that uses available technology. For example, client records may be e-stored on computers, discs, or in the “cloud.”
