- DON’T TAKE ON MORE WORK THAN YOU CAN DO, EITHER TIME WISE OR ABILITY WISE. If you do not have the resources to do the work, there will be trouble. What that means is if you want to take a case, you need to have the time to do it, including if you have a learning curve on that type of case. If you have no idea what you are doing, you need some kind of support to assist you in learning it, or don’t do it. You can take new and different representations, but make sure you have what you need to give each client a proper representation.
